Lawson Bates has seemingly responded to Travis Clark‘s confession that he cheated on his wife, Lawson’s sister Katie Bates Clark.
Just hours after Travis admitted to an extramarital affair via Instagram, Lawson posted an Instagram Reel which many fans took as his response to the situation.
In the clip, Lawson films himself working out by lifting weights. Text over the video reads, “One day, someone might tell your kids … ‘You’re just like your dad.’”
The reality star has been married to Tiffany Espensen since May 2022 and the couple share sons William, 1, and Theodore “Teddy”, 1 month.
In the comment section, fans praised Lawson for coming to his little sister’s defense.
“I hope the other Bates follow in this. Stand with your family. Call out the problem,” wrote one fan. “Lawson being there for his little sis. Prayers for you Katie ♥️.” said another.

Lawson appeared to make another statement on Sunday, Jan. 18, when he posted a photo of himself and his wife with Katie in the hospital after Teddy’s birth last month on his Instagram Story.
“@kgbates2000, I still can’t believe you dropped everything at a moment’s notice to come be with us and help document this huge life moment. It meant the world,” he wrote over the photo. “You’re one of the kindest and most genuine people I know. We love you and are always here for you.”

Travis confessed to his infidelity via Instagram Story on Saturday, Jan. 17.
“This is hard to write, but I owe the truth and I owe an apology. I was unfaithful to my wife. I had an affair and repeatedly broke her trust,” Travis wrote. “There is no excuse for what I did. This was my failure and my responsibility alone.”
“I know that words don’t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of the hurt I’ve brought into her life, but I am truly sorry. I’m sorry for the pain, humiliation, and betrayal I caused my wife through my choices,” he continued. “I understand that an apology doesn’t repair what I broke, and forgiveness is not something I deserve or can ask for. I am taking responsibility by getting help and doing the work to change and become a more honest and accountable man, regardless of outcome. I ask for privacy and grace for Katie as she processes this in her own time.”
The 24-year-old nursing student’s confession came amid ongoing speculation from fans that the pair were on the rocks. Over the last few weeks, fans noticed Travis absent from his wife’s social media, with some fans claiming Katie unfollowed several of her husband’s female nursing school classmates.
