“Caught in HD!”Survivor 50 Scandal Explodes: Viewer-Favorite ‘Breaks Rules’ in Immunity Challenge — And Gets Away With It

SURVIVOR fans have accused a contestant of cheating in a challenge and say the runner-up should’ve been the winner.

Viewers questioned the play of competitor Christian Hubicki during the Immunity/Reward Challenge: Chimney Sweeps on Wednesday night’s episode titled “Blue Moon.”

This week captured Day 11 on the island for the remaining Survivor Season 50 contestants, and a mouthwatering reward was on the line.

While explaining the rules of the game, host Jeff Probst revealed that three people would win immunity and each of the three groups would go to the Tribal Council – the first time this has happened in the show’s history.

He also revealed that the winners would receive a three-course Applebee’s reward meal, featuring the food chain’s signature Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Bourbon Street Steak, and Sizzlin’ Caramel Apple Pie, among other options.

The challenge involved the competitors being divided into groups of five, standing on narrow footholds between two walls; however, they couldn’t use their shoulders, hips, or backs for support.

The last person standing from each group won immunity.

Christian, Dee Valladares, and Stephanie LaGrossa Kendrick maintained their positions the longest among their groups, securing their immunity.

However, some fans didn’t believe Christian deserved the win after noticing that he appeared to break a major rule.

The 40-year-old mechanical engineer seemed to use his right shoulder as support at one point while navigating down the structure, but Jeff did not disqualify him from the game.

One fan pointed out the move on social media and claimed that Genevieve Mushaluk, who came in second, should’ve won.

“Ok so Christian blatantly cheated during the immunity challenge but ofc no one said anything,” the fan wrote on X, and explained Christian’s apparent violation in the comments.

“I am not saying Christian goes. I am saying Genevieve would’ve won,” they added.

“I thought he would have been disqualified too,” another agreed.

Others argued that Christian’s shoulder didn’t touch the wall, though his arm may have, which wasn’t forbidden per the rules.

“Normally producers on the floor will give warnings and yell out during a challenge, or have Jeff do it via his ear piece, won’t always make the cut.

“It’s 100% the challenge teams job to be across its very hard to cheat them,” another fan reasoned.

Genevieve was eliminated later in the two-hour-long episode, along with Kamilla Karthigesu and Colby Donaldson.

Survivor was one of several programs on Wednesday that were abruptly interrupted by President Donald Trump‘s prime-time address to the nation.

The speech, delivered from the White House and providing an update on the war in Iran, lasted about 20 minutes, beginning at 9:00pm EST.

West Coast viewers saw the address at 6:00pm PST, so prime-time shows weren’t affected.

Regular programming resumed immediately afterward.
