Bringing Up Bates:Katie officially speaks out about being pregnant with her fourth child after a miscarriage of her third child and her husband’s infidelity.
“After Loss, She Chooses Hope: Katie Bates Opens Her Heart About Baby No. 4”
There are stories that arrive quietly.
Not with celebration or noise,
but with a kind of softness—
the kind that only comes after something has been broken.
For Katie Bates of Bringing Up Bates, the past months have carried that quiet weight. A loss—deep, personal, and impossible to fully explain—left a space that words could not easily fill.
Time moved forward.
But gently. Carefully.
And then, in a moment that felt both fragile and brave, Katie spoke.
She is expecting again.
But this time, joy doesn’t rush in all at once.
It lingers at the door.
It steps in slowly.
Because when you’ve known loss, happiness doesn’t feel loud—it feels precious.
Katie shared, in her own words:
“I don’t think you ever fully move on… but you learn how to carry both the grief and the hope at the same time.”
It is a sentence that doesn’t ask for attention,
but stays with you long after you read it.
There are parts of life that remain unspoken—moments of strain, questions, and quiet struggles that shape a person in ways the world may never fully see. Katie doesn’t name them all. She doesn’t need to.
Because in the way she speaks now, there is something new:
A steadiness.
A softness that feels stronger than before.
Fans have felt it too.
One wrote:
“This kind of happiness feels deeper… like it was fought for.”
Another said:
“You can feel the love, but also the courage it took to get here.”
This isn’t just an announcement.
It’s a turning point.
A reminder that even after something falls apart, something else—something just as meaningful—can begin again.
Katie doesn’t promise anything about the future.
She doesn’t rush the moment.
Instead, she holds it—gently.
And maybe that’s what makes it so powerful.
Because sometimes, the most beautiful stories
aren’t the ones that are perfect…
but the ones that continue,
even after they almost stopped.

The 25-year-old former reality star announced that she suffered a pregnancy loss in January, and she recently revealed the jewelry she wears to honor her child.

“This necklace is really special to me,” she wrote of the accessory, which was given to her by her sister and can be seen in a recent video.
Bates and Clark welcomed their first baby, daughter Hailey James, in February 2023. Their second child, son Harvey Gray, joined the family in September 2024. When she announced the sad news of her miscarriage on Instagram, she wrote, “I will spend the rest of my life missing you.”
Not long after, the family revealed that they had been going through another hardship. That same month, Clark revealed that he cheated on his wife and is seeking help.
“This is hard to write, but I owe the truth and I owe an apology. I was unfaithful to my wife. I had an affair and repeatedly broke her trust,” he wrote in a post shared to his Instagram Stories on Jan. 17.
“There is no excuse for what I did. This was my failure and my responsibility alone. I know that words don’t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of the hurt I’ve brought into her life, but I am truly sorry,” Clark continued.
He then apologized for “the pain, humiliation, and betrayal I caused my wife through my choices.”
Bates and Clark met in 2019 and began dating the following year. They got engaged in April 2021 and tied the knot that December.
