BARELY SURVIVING Survivor forced to make major ‘twist and turn’ changes to save show from disaster after ratings plunge
While execs try to remain optimistic, the dismal ‘numbers don’t lie…’

SURVIVOR will be forced to make some major ‘twists and turns’ in the future to ‘save the show’ from its disastrous ratings plummet, a production insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun.
Viewership for the beloved franchise has continued to drop as season 49 has had some of the “lowest-rated episodes” in the show’s history.
The decline has continued to impact the show’s future, and now, producers may need to rely on a series of twists and turns to save the show from “disaster.”
“Jeff and the producers really love this season, and they are proud of the work they put out. But the numbers don’t lie… ratings are continuing to drop.
“This season has had some of the lowest viewership the show has ever had. Ever.
“The show runners and execs can’t ignore that so it does leave how the show will move forward up in the air,” an insider claimed while speaking with The U.S. Sun.
“They know they need to make some changes, but what changes will be are still to be determined.
“Also, it’s not the cheapest show to produce, given it’s out in Fiji and the sets have to be built and pieced need to be imported in.
“The prize money is also sufficient compared to other shows so they just have to be smart with making decisions that all impact the show’s future. It will likely be different than it looks now.”
Season 50, which premieres in February, also marks a turning point for the series and could determine how the series moves forward.
