Fire up the sewing machines because Project Runway is coming back to the catwalk. On October 21, Disney announced that it had renewed the beloved fashion competition series for its 22nd season. The forthcoming installment is set to debut in 2026 across Freeform, Hulu, and Disney+.
After season 21 brought new challenges and a lot of drama, the iconic series is ready to return with more creativity and runway magic. Here’s what we know so far.
Who will be in the cast of Project Runway season 22?
Heidi Klum will return, taking on double duty as both host and judge. She’ll be joined once again by mentor Christian Siriano as well as judges Nina Garcia and Law Roach, whose pointed critiques always keep designers on their toes.

When will season 22 premiere?
Fans can mark their calendars for sometime in 2026, although an exact premiere date has not been confirmed yet. The news follows the success of season 21, which concluded in September with designer Veejay Floresca taking home a meaningful win.
“I’m an immigrant, I’m a trans woman, a trans woman of color, and people need to see that we are not enemies,” she told ELLE, reflecting on her time on the show. “We are just normal people with dreams and aspirations, and I hope that my story can change people’s perspective. For anyone struggling, I hope that you hear my story and know: You’ve got this.”
